Race description

The Nordholzer Windmill Run is a traditional running event in the Wurster North Sea coast, offering various distances for children, adolescents, and adults. The courses run over measured road routes officially recognized by the German Athletics Association (DLV). In addition to the races, there are also hiking and walking options open to all age groups. The event is characterized by a family-friendly atmosphere, where every participant receives a medal and a certificate.

Additional information

Race bibs are issued from 2:00 PM at the Willi-Wicke sports field clubhouse. Timing is done via transponder, which is rented with the race bib (20 Euro fee if not returned). Changing rooms, showers, and toilets are available at the start/finish area. The children’s run is free, and accompaniment without scoring is allowed. The 5 km course is counted as a district championship. Late registrations are possible up to 1 hour before the start for an additional fee. Each participant receives a medal and a certificate, walkers and hikers receive a participation certificate. Courses are measured, timing via transponder, changing rooms/showers/toilets available, district championship on the 5 km course.
