Sparkassen-Küstenmarathon 26

The Sparkassen Coastal Marathon in Otterndorf is a traditional race on the North Sea coast, taking place on September 20, 2026. The event offers various distances from a children's run for kindergarten children to the classic marathon of 42.195 km. The courses lead through the historic old town, along the Elbe dike, and by the water, guaranteeing a varied and scenic running experience. In addition to the marathon, there are also half marathons, 10 km, and 5 km runs, as well as relay and walking competitions. The event emphasizes community, endurance, and a family-friendly atmosphere.

The children's run is limited to 300 children from kindergartens in the Samtgemeinde Land Hadeln and has no competitive character. There are various age categories and rankings for students. The event offers free parking, baggage storage, and one hour of free use of the Sole-Therme Otterndorf (excluding sauna) upon presentation of the starting number. There is a Cuxland ranking with cash prizes for runners from the Cuxhaven district. Award ceremonies are held in stages according to distance and ranking at the Historic Town Hall. The event takes place on the Elbe dike and in the historic old town of Otterndorf, with special categories such as handbikers and walkers. It is a family-friendly event with a strong community atmosphere.
