Race description
The 42nd Josef Kaderhandt Forest Run in Menden is a traditional running event organized by the Marathon Club Menden e.V. The course runs over paved forest paths through the scenic Sauerland and offers a sporting challenge with demanding sections. In addition to the classic 20 km forest run, runners can participate in the 20 km Plus Marathon, which can be extended to an ultramarathon of over 50 km by completing additional laps. The start is in Waldemei near the Kolping Memorial Stone, and the finish is at the Bürgerbad Leitmecke. There is also a 7.8 km fun run open to all running enthusiasts.

Additional information
The cut-off time for all categories is after 6 hours of running. The start is in Waldemei Menden, with the finish at Bürgerbad Leitmecke (new). Parking is centrally designated; please do not park in residential areas or on Gisbert-Kranz Straße. The course includes 3 laps for 20 km, 4 or more laps (up to 8) for the 20 km Plus and ultramarathon, as well as a 7.8 km fun run. Participants can register online; late registrations are possible on the event day in cash. The course runs over paved forest paths, starting in Waldemei and finishing at Bürgerbad Leitmecke. This event is the 42nd edition of the race.
