Race description

The Taunusstein Forest Run is a traditional running event that has been attracting around 700 runners annually for over 30 years to the picturesque forests and hills of the Untertaunus. The main course over 15 kilometers offers a challenging experience with varied terrain and approximately 250 meters of elevation. For beginners and children, there are shorter distances of 5 and 2 kilometers, ideal for experiencing the race atmosphere. The event is characterized by its scenic diversity and a lively program at the finish area.

Additional information

Start and finish at the Gesamtschule Obere Aar (Pestalozzistraße 3, 65232 Taunusstein). Bib number pickup from 07:30 in the cafeteria of IGS Obere Aar, recommended to collect at least 40 minutes before start. Cut-off time for the 15 km race is 2 hours and 30 minutes. All finishers receive a medal. The fastest men and women in each distance will receive prizes, which are only handed out on race day. 2 km runners participate in a raffle. Showers and changing facilities are available on site. The event takes place in all weather conditions. Walkers are allowed, will be scored separately, but without prizes. On-site registration is possible for an additional fee of 2 €. Results and certificates are available online. There are refreshments, cake, a barbecue, and drinks in the start/finish area. The event is family-friendly, welcomes walkers, and offers catering and drinks at the finish area. Registration is possible both online and on-site.
