The popular trail run, the Sengbach Dam Run, takes place on shaded paths in the forests surrounding the beautiful Sengbach Dam. All routes of the trail run cover distances of 11.3, 21.1, or 30.9 kilometers, with participants running around the reservoir 1x, 2x, or 3x, depending on the distance. The course runs through a protected landscape area and is therefore car-free, offering runners magnificent views of the reservoir. About 600 to 800 participants are expected.
Highlights
- The three main distances start downhill to the dam circuit and are run counterclockwise.
- One lap has a total of about 200 meters of elevation gain and consists almost entirely of well-maintained forest paths.
- There are two aid stations on the circuit stocked with bananas, water, and sports drinks or cola.
