Race description

The EWE North Sea Run is a traditional stage race across seven different East Frisian Islands on the North Sea coast of Lower Saxony. Over eight days, participants run, walk, or Nordic walk approximately 10 kilometers per stage, enjoying the unique nature, maritime flair, and healthy high-sea climate. The event attracts running enthusiasts from all over Germany and abroad and offers a fair competitive experience with a family-friendly atmosphere. Due to limited capacities on the islands, the number of participants is restricted, ensuring an exclusive running experience.

Highlights

  • Stage race across seven East Frisian Islands with about 10 km per stage
  • Running routes along beaches, dune landscapes, and the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea
  • Start and finish points centrally located on the islands, e.g., promenade on Borkum and spa square on Norderney
