Race description
The Bad Harzburger New Year's Eve Run is a traditional race event organized by MTK Bad Harzburg since 1981. The race takes place annually on December 31st at the Sports Park at the Racecourse and is the oldest New Year's Eve run in the region. The event offers various distances, including 2500, 5000, and 10,000 meters, completed on a 2500-meter loop. Participants can electronically record and track their lap times live, making the race particularly attractive.

Race office opens at 11:00 AM on the day of the event. Live results are available online for the first time at https://oresults.eu/events/2639. Timing is done with SportIdent chip, stamped after each lap on the 5,000 and 10,000-meter distances. Certificates and trophies are awarded from 3:30 PM. Multiple distances (2500 m, 5000 m, 10,000 m), registration by mail or on the day of the event, electronic timing, award ceremonies for top finishers, start at 1:30 PM.
