SWE Halbmarathon Ettlingen

The SWE Half Marathon Ettlingen is a challenging and varied scenic run over 21.1 km, connecting several districts of Ettlingen at different elevations. The course begins idyllically in Horbachpark and passes through forested areas with distant views of the Black Forest before descending into the Rhine Plain towards the finish at Horbachsee. Aid stations are available every 3 km, and local residents provide refreshments and a motivating atmosphere. The race takes place on August 1, 2026, and is organized by SSV Ettlingen 1847 e. V., Lauf Treff Ettlingen department.

Start and finish are at Horbachpark near the pavilion, Middelkerker Straße, 76275 Ettlingen. There are two block starts with approximately 3-minute intervals to ease the first kilometers. The maximum number of participants is limited to 800 starters. Late registrations are possible during the event weekend at Albgauhalle. All pre-registered participants receive a gift along with their race bib. The team with the most finishers will be rewarded with two bottles of champagne. Timing is via transponder in the race bib, with net time results. Terrain includes paved paths, gravel paths, and asphalt; registration deadline is July 27, 2026; maximum 800 participants; start times: 16:00 for walkers, 17:00 for runners; children and youth races introduced in 2026.
