The SaarschleifenLand Run in Merzig offers a diverse running program for all age groups with distances from 250 meters up to the half marathon. The main race is particularly exciting, allowing participants during the race to decide whether they want to run 15 km or the half marathon (21.1 km). The course runs along the picturesque Saarleinpfad with beautiful panoramic views and incorporates the city championship in the half marathon. The event is family-friendly with children and youth runs and offers showers as well as clothing storage in the Merzig City Hall.

Late registrations are possible on the day of the event until 30 minutes before the respective start. Start and finish are at Merzig City Hall with parking directly at the venue. Showers are available at Blättelbornstadion approximately 500 meters away. Clothing storage is available in the City Hall. The city championship in the half marathon is determined based on postal code. Various race distances, including youth, children, and main runs, registration on-site possible, finisher medals for all participants.
