Race description
The Munich Marathon offers a diverse running experience in the Bavarian capital with the disciplines of marathon, half marathon, 10 km run, and marathon relay. The marathon course passes through the Olympic Park, Leopoldstraße, the English Garden, Munich city center, and ends in the Olympic Park. The half marathon starts in the English Garden and also finishes in the Olympic Park. The marathon relay allows teams to complete the 42.195 km together, with handovers at designated kilometer marks. Due to renovation work, the finish line is located at Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz next to the Olympic Hall.

Additional information
The start and finish are located at Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz next to the Olympic Hall due to renovation work at the Olympic Stadium. Marathon relay teams can run the last meters together and receive their finisher medals collectively. The 10 km course is a loop from the Olympic Park through Schwabing and back. The half marathon is designed so that runners with finishing times of up to 3 hours can comfortably complete the distance. Registration is possible until September 27, 2026. The event also includes offerings for children and inclusive running events. The course runs through central Munich districts and provides a festive atmosphere for runners and spectators.
