Lauf Rund um den Grengel

The Rund um den Grengel race is a traditional community run in Engelskirchen, organized annually by VfL Engelskirchen e.V., Department of Athletics & Triathlon. The event offers various distances, including a Bambini run, school runs, a 5 km fun run, and a 10 km main race, some of which are held as municipal championships. The course is flat, passing through sports grounds, streets, and forest paths, and is measured by the German Athletics Association (DLV). The family-friendly atmosphere and the involvement of children and adolescents make this race a special event for all age groups.

Late registrations are possible online up to 60 minutes before the respective start for a fee of €5. Changing rooms and showers are available on site. Medical services are provided by the Malteser Engelskirchen. All children in the Bambini run receive a medal, certificates can be viewed and printed online. Awards for the top three overall finishers in the school run, 5 km, and 10 km. The courses are measured by the DLV; start times from 2:00 PM; registration only online; participation open to all age groups; medals for children, digital certificates; medical services on site.
