Race description
The International Brothers Grimm Run is a traditional 3-day event that takes place from Hanau, the birthplace of the Brothers Grimm, over approximately 82 km to Steinau, where the fairy tale collectors spent their childhood. The route is divided into 5 stages and offers a challenge for both recreational runners and competitive athletes. The course runs along historic trade routes, past historic buildings, scenic landmarks, as well as spa and leisure resorts in the Spessart and picturesque villages in the Kinzig Valley. The event will be held from June 12 to June 14, 2026, with registration opening on November 11, 2025.

Additional information
The route is mostly asphalted, partly through open terrain and forest. The elevation profile is flat with minimal inclines (maximum height approx. 130 m). The stages include paths such as bike paths, forest trails, and paved roads. Start and finish points of each stage are in different towns along the route, e.g., Niederrodenbach, Neuenhaßlau. The event is suitable for both recreational and competitive runners. Multi-day running event, 5 stages, registration from November 11, 2025, participant limit 550, individual stage booking possible.
