On August 23 at 5 PM, the MTV Amelinghausen will celebrate the 30th edition of the Heideköniginnenpokal, a traditional event in the heart of the Lüneburg Heath. Registrations for the anniversary run are possible until shortly before the start. The 9.1 km long course, partially asphalted and through the forest, takes participants on a loop through the beautiful surroundings of Amelinghausen and finishes with a grand entrance in the festively decorated town center. Traditionally, the reigning heath queen, in 2023 it was Lisa Röttger, will give the starting signal for the run.
Highlights

- The refreshment point is located in the historic sheep barn area.
- Along the Lopausee and back towards the town center, the runners then reach the level crossing onto the federal highway, where they are greeted by thousands of spectators.
