The Greifenstein Mountain Run is a road race over 5.3 km from Ehringshausen – Katzenfurt to Greifenstein Castle. The course starts in Katzenfurt and follows a 2.5 km long, nearly flat asphalt road to Edingen. From the center of Edingen, the ascent begins over 2.8 km with an elevation gain of 260 m, featuring varying gradients and some challenging sections. The 26th Greifenstein Mountain Run will take place on June 14, 2025, and the beautiful courtyard of Greifenstein Castle will serve not only as the finish line but also for the collection of race materials, catering, and the awards ceremony.
