Greifenstein Berglauf

The Greifenstein Mountain Run is a challenging road race over 5.3 km from Ehringshausen-Katzenfurt to Greifenstein Castle, taking place for the 27th time on May 30, 2026. The course runs along country roads and farm tracks with a total of 260 meters of elevation gain to the finish at the castle, which offers a breathtaking view of the region. The race is open to youth, men, women, and seniors, with a combined classification for all categories. Nordic walking is offered without age classifications, and a free Bambini race for the youngest children takes place separately in the afternoon. The event concludes with an award ceremony and refreshments in the courtyard of Greifenstein Castle.

The registration fee includes bus transfer to the start, clothing transport to the finish, and drinks at both start and finish. Bib numbers and finisher shirts will be distributed on the event day from 14:00 in the courtyard of Greifenstein Castle. Late registration is possible until 30 minutes before the start on the event day. Parking is available at the village exit of Greifenstein towards Beilstein. A free Bambini race for children will be offered around 16:50, accompanied by members of LG Dill. The award ceremony and refreshments with coffee, cake, cold drinks, and bratwurst will take place in the castle courtyard. On clear days, the courtyard offers an impressive view over the Dill valley to the Feldberg in the Taunus. Registration is open until May 28, 2026, online. Start in Katzenfurt, finish at Greifenstein Castle. The race is without relay and walking categories. Results are available since 2008.
