Bartenwetzer Volkslauf

The Bartenwetzer Volkslauf is the oldest fun run in North Hesse and takes place on May 30, 2026, at the Waldstadion Melsungen. The event includes children's and school runs over 400 m and 1000 m, as well as main runs over 5 km, 10 km, and 19 km, which lead on firm paths through the Melsungen city forest. As the 10th scoring race of the North Hesse Cup, the run offers a family-friendly atmosphere with refreshments, award ceremonies, and a buffet. The start and finish areas are idyllically located on the edge of the city forest, making the run particularly attractive.

Race bibs are issued from 14:30 at the MT clubhouse in the Waldstadion. Changing rooms are available in the MT clubhouse. Refreshments with water are provided on the long distances, warm tea at the finish, and from 15:30 onwards, a buffet with coffee, cake, and bratwurst. Medical services are provided by the German Red Cross. Late registrations on the day of the event are not possible. Certificates can be printed on-site or downloaded online via RaceResult. The courses run through the Melsungen city forest. Registration is only online, race bibs are collected at the clubhouse, no on-site late registration, refreshments at the finish area, medical services by the German Red Cross.
