Race description

The Barsbüttel Volkslauf is a traditional running event held annually in June at the sports field in the Sports Center Barsbüttel. The event offers various running distances from 400 meters to 10 kilometers, mostly flat and running over asphalted or firm sandy agricultural paths. The courses mostly run through the traffic-free Barsbüttel farmland and offer beautiful views, especially on the longer 5 km and 10 km routes. Times are measured electronically, and all participants receive a certificate afterwards. Refreshments for runners and spectators are also provided.

Highlights

  • Running routes mostly flat and run over asphalted or firm sandy agricultural paths
  • Courses run through the traffic-free Barsbüttel farmland with beautiful views
  • 10 km route runs along a small avenue and past the Stapelfelder Moor
