Volkslauf Um die Taakener Ähren

The community run "Around the Taakener Ears" is a family-friendly and popular running event in Taaken, taking place on August 21, 2026. The event offers various competitions for all age groups, from toddler runs to school and jogger races, as well as the main 10 km race and a relay race. The course runs through the town of Taaken and the idyllic Ears fields, with fun and community spirit at the forefront. All participants receive baked goods at the finish line, and the winners are awarded traditional victory loaves. The village provides catering and beverage stands to create a pleasant atmosphere.

Late registrations are possible up to one hour before the start of each race for an additional fee of 2 €. Changing rooms and showers are available at the Taaken sports hall. Parking is available behind the sports hall. Catering with water, fruit, and baked goods is provided, along with snack and beverage stands. All runners of the main, relay, and jogger races can participate in a raffle held after the award ceremony of the main race. Various running disciplines, team relay, children and youth races, on-site catering.
