Altstadtfestlauf in Lauf

The Old Town Festival Run in Lauf an der Pegnitz takes place annually on Friday evening to open the Old Town Festival on the last weekend of June. It is considered the world's largest class reunion and offers runners a special experience with a backdrop unique to this event, such as the pack of runners on the Lauf Water Bridge. There is a 10 km main race with a turnaround point at the Lebenshilfe in Schönberg, as well as a 5 km run including Nordic Walking with a turnaround point on Ottensooser Straße. The event combines athletic competition with a social occasion and also supports social projects.

Race packets and late registrations are possible on race day from 14:00 to 17:00 in the finish area (Nürnberger Tor, Friedensplatz 1, 91207 Lauf). An additional fee of €3 applies for late registrations, payable in cash. If registered by June 19, 2026, participants receive a personalized bib with their name. €1 of the registration fee is donated to Lebenshilfe im Nürnberger Land. The race takes place annually on the last weekend of June, with start times at 18:00 for the 10 km race and at 18:05 for Nordic Walking. The course is scenic and promotes community spirit as well as charitable causes.
