6. Hofer Backyard Ultra

The Hof Backyard Ultra is a unique ultramarathon event taking place on June 27, 2026, in Hof (Bavaria). The race starts at 9:00 AM and is by definition "open-ended," meaning it only ends when only one runner remains or all have dropped out. The course consists of a 6.706-kilometer loop with approximately 80 meters of elevation gain, running through forest and woodland paths as well as asphalt. The event attracts participants from all over Germany and beyond, offering a special challenge for runners who want to test and push their limits.

Maximum of 100 starting spots. Check-in on June 26, 2026, from 7:30 AM at Hof Airport. 200 free parking spaces approximately 100 meters from the start/finish area. From round 13 onwards, a headlamp is required at night. Timing can continue beyond 24 hours, as the race is open-ended. The course includes paved paths, gravel and forest trails, and the runway at Hof Airport. Registration is online. Accommodation recommendations available. Maximum of 100 participants. Race duration until the last runner finishes.
