23. Mitteldeutscher Marathon

The 23rd Central German Marathon on October 4, 2026, offers a unique running experience through the Central German metropolitan region with start in Leipzig and finish in Halle (Saale). The course passes through two federal states and two cities, starting at the Sportforum in Leipzig and ending in the over 1,200-year-old cultural capital Halle. In addition to the marathon, there are other disciplines such as the Handellauf half marathon, the half marathon relay, 10 km run, 10 km walk, Salzwirkerlauf, and the AOK Schnupperlauf. The event combines sporting challenge with cultural highlights and green running routes in the Handel city.
