With the Hardfooters, you can shorten the wait for Christmas and end the season with a bang on one of the beautiful routes of the X-MAS Trail. Three challenging tracks take you on crisp, demanding trails through the fantastic winter landscape of the Hunsrück-Hochwald Nature Park. Attention! The run requires you to navigate independently in the woods, possibly in biting cold. Especially on the longer routes, you should be able to find your way as experienced trail runners in adverse weather conditions such as snowfall and cold.
Highlights
- The routes of the X-MAS TRAILS take us from the Hochwaldhalle Weiskirchen through moss-covered forests with numerous single trails and many watercourses.
- The two long routes cross wild streams on many small bridges, up to the Schimmelkopf, and lead past rock formations and over rocky and root-filled trails.
- We recommend carrying a headlamp on all routes, as it can be very dark in places during overcast weather; for the long route, the lamp is mandatory.
