On Sunday, September 13, 2026, the 17th Windpark Run "Timmeler Kampen" will take place in Großefehn. The event includes distances of 5 km and 10 km, as well as a Matjes Run. In the last edition on September 8, 2024, over 100 runners participated in excellent weather, and the atmosphere along the race course was fantastic. The athletics departments of KGS Großefehn and TG Wiesmoor formed the largest groups of participants.
