The Wehrheim Backyard Ultra, abbreviated as WEHBU, was established in 2021 and has quickly become a beloved and well-known running event that extends far beyond the borders of the Taunus region. On May 30, 2026, the sixth edition of this private invitation race will take place, where experienced ultra and hobby runners pursue their passion together in a family atmosphere. The course of 6.706 km must be completed within 60 minutes, and a new lap starts at the top of the hour. The winner is the one who completes the last lap alone.
Highlights
- The route takes you over gravel and paved paths through the picturesque landscape east of Wehrheim in the Taunus, featuring challenging elevation changes and fantastic views.
- Towards the end of each lap lies the infamous "Field of Horror," which can be muddy depending on the weather conditions and presents an additional challenge.
