The Running Friends Wehratal are a department of TV-Wehr 1885 e.V. and have been organizing the popular Wehratal Run since 1989, which will take place for the 34th time on September 14, 2025. With around 500 participants, the categories offered include the main race over 10.2 km, Nordic Walking over 8.6 km, a student race over 2.87 km, and a children's race over 750 m. The route of the main race is challenging and varied, with an elevation difference of 110 m, and it takes place on asphalt as well as forest and field paths. A portion of the entry fees will be donated to the support association for children with cancer in Freiburg e.V.
