The Treiser Volkslauf is taking place for the 33rd time this year and is the 11th race of the Mittelhessen-Cup. It started in 1992 as a village run, with the first two years featuring 3 laps (10 km) through the village. Since 1994, a large loop along the Lumda has been run, and in 1997, a challenging half marathon was added. With an average of 550 participants, the race has developed into one of the largest fun runs in the region, supported by over 70 volunteers for a smooth running experience.
