Race description
The Bottwartal Marathon is a running event set in one of the most beautiful landscapes of southern Germany, featuring gentle vineyard slopes, idyllic old towns, and an exhilarating atmosphere along the course. The route offers a loop through the southern and northern Bottwartal with varied sections on paved field paths and through historic town centers. The flat finish at the Steppi roundabout in Steinheim invites a strong final sprint. Whether beginner or ambitious runner, everyone can find their personal running experience here.

Additional information
Monthly free training runs in various pace groups on the last Sunday of each month in Steinheim. Summer holiday runs every Tuesday evening during the summer break with a 10 km long run. Year-end run as a 10 km race with punch and mulled wine at the end of the year. Registration is via Datasport. Late registrations and re-registrations are possible until shortly before the race. The event includes not only the marathon but also half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and running events for all age groups; it takes place in June 2026 to allow runners optimal preparation.
