The Stockheim Village Run is a popular running event that attracts athletes and running enthusiasts from the region. The newly measured course, established in 2022, is exactly 10 km long and takes participants along the Vulkanradweg towards Selters, followed by two laps of 2.5 km in the Effolderbach Auwiesenweg, before returning to the gymnasium in Stockheim. The route is mostly paved, and there are showers and changing rooms in the start/finish area. A highlight is the large cake buffet that awaits participants after the run.
