The cross-country running series of the Vulkaneifel is back in full swing and includes four scoring races in 2026. The series traditionally kicks off on the second Sunday in January 2026 with the SV Mehren. The Gerolstein Run takes place on February 22, 2026, followed by the first Eifelsteig Cross-Country Run on March 7, and concludes on March 21 in Birgel, where the series winners will be honored. Runners must participate in at least three races to qualify for the series standings, with the worst result being discarded if they compete in four events.
