The Summer Time Run is an officially sanctioned road and community race that took place on April 2, 2023, in Gnarrenburg. With light rain easing, students and teachers from the Oste-Hamme School gathered to participate in this event, with students competing in both individual and relay events over the 5 km and 10 km distances. The relays ran out of competition and could choose their distances freely, which presented a unique challenge. With cheers from the spectators and the excitement before the start, the atmosphere was vibrant and motivating.
Highlights
- The participation as a relay team for students of the Oste-Hamme School made it possible to tackle the 5 km course not alone.
- The courses for 5 and 10 kilometers have been measured and are approved for record lists.
- In the finish area, around 150 participants were active, and the spectators vigorously supported the runners, which greatly heightened the atmosphere.
