Race description
The Schmachtendorf Nikolaus Run is a traditional running event held at the end of November in Oberhausen-Schmachtendorf, organized by Spvgg. Sterkrade-Nord 1920/25 e.V. The event offers races for all age groups, from a 300-meter children's run to a 10 km race for adults. The course mainly runs on forest paths in Dunkelschlag and around the Buchenweg sports field. Each participant receives a Stutenkerl, and the award ceremony takes place promptly after each race with prizes for the best runners in each category.
