The 3rd Castles and Fortresses Ultratrail starts at 8:00 AM in front of the castle in Wilhelmsthal and takes participants through a picturesque landscape that offers the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the region. The route leads over the Hohen Dörnberg, past historical ruins, and through Europe's largest mountain park, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013.
