Race description
The Schackensleben Hopfenlauf is a traditional running event in Schackensleben, about 25 km west of Magdeburg in the Börde district. The start and finish of all courses are at the sports field, from where various distances are offered: 400 meters for children, 1.4 km for youth, as well as 6.0 km and 10.8 km for adults. The longer routes lead through the town and the surrounding landscape with typical Börde hilly profile, on roads and paved field paths. Refreshments are available with drinks, coffee, cake, and grilled food, and after crossing the finish line, there is a raffle with attractive prizes. The Hopfenlauf is part of the Novo Nordisk Landescup and the Elbe-Ohre-Cup.

Additional information
The 0.4 km and 1.4 km routes are completed on the track and immediate surroundings. After crossing the finish line, participants receive drinks and fruit for energy. In the club house at the sports field, there is excellent catering with coffee, cake, lard sandwiches, drinks, and grilled food.
