Race description
The SCC Cross Country is a forest run in Berlin at the Julius-Hirsch-Sportanlage in Westend. Two clear cross-country courses are offered: 4 km for U16 to adults and 9 km for U18 to adults, both races start in the morning. The run is intentionally simple and targets club runners, youth, and adults who want to run short off-road rounds, which is distinctly different from the large street races in the city. The course runs over paved and unpaved forest paths, where rhythm, clean footwork, and a fast finish are more important than scenic views. Awards are given to the top three in each age and gender category, as well as a prize for the fastest final lap for men and women.
