The run around Ennepetal, organized by the Sports Friends of Ennepetal since 2006, invites all running, hiking, and walking enthusiasts to explore one of the most beautiful trails in the region: the Ennepetal circular hiking trail. This mass participation event, also known as the "Mayor's Running & Hiking Day," always takes place on the last Sunday in August. The route covers 58 km with +1,450 m of elevation gain and is run in a clockwise direction. Participants must be considerate of traffic and other hikers and will receive a gpx track for navigation prior to the event.
Highlights

- There will be only one fully stocked aid station on the course at approximately 29 km, as well as refreshments at the finish line.
- The timing is done manually by the organizer, and the number of participants is limited to a maximum of 40.
