This is a small privately organized ultramarathon for like-minded individuals, partly following the original route of the Residenzweg around Detmold. The course is an idyllic loop that winds through the beautiful hilly Lipperland and takes participants past historical landmarks such as a village church over 1000 years old and ancient rune stones. Navigating the route is part of the run, and it is recommended to have experience in ultrarunning. The course consists of rocky trails, flat singletracks, as well as well-maintained forest and farm roads, along with some asphalt sections.
Highlights
- Running takes place partly on the original route of the Residenzweg, which circles around Detmold.
- The route passes by a very old Protestant village church with origins over 1000 years old and an ancient lime tree, estimated to be around 350-600 years old.
