The Röntgenlauf is an eco-friendly event in Remscheid that promotes sustainable practices. The ultramarathon course is 63.3 kilometers long and runs 90% along the original Röntgen trail, beginning with a roughly 5 km loop through the historic town of Lennep. The Kieferorthopädie-Böttcher half marathon is the most popular distance and is one of the largest scenic races in Germany. Additionally, there are fun runs over 5 km and 10 km, taking place on a loop course between Hackenberg and the dam of the Wuppersperre.
