The Riesling Run and the Rheingau Half Marathon take participants through the gentle hilly landscape of the vineyards above Mittelheim and Oestrich-Winkel. Those who are not moving too quickly will be rewarded with the idyllic panorama of the Rhine Valley. The course is mostly asphalted with slight inclines and about 90 meters of elevation gain for 10 km. The first segment of the half marathon is identical to the 10 km run. The Wine Queen gives the starting signal for this traditional event, which attracts participants from 16 countries.
