The thirteenth Reinhardswald Walking / Nordic Walking / Hiking event organized by VfL Veckerhagen, held on June 18, 2024, exceeded all expectations. With 151 participants, a record was set for the third consecutive year after the Corona restart. Following the welcome by Knut Dolle and Mayor Fred Dettmar, there was a musical warm-up program, followed by the start for the three routes at the Mittelpunkt sports facility. Participants could choose between a three-kilometer "Schnuddel-Runde," a six-kilometer route, and an eleven-kilometer long-distance course with 200 meters of elevation gain.
Highlights
- With 151 participants, a new record was set, which is 30 starters above last year's result.
- The six-kilometer course had the highest participation with 107 starters.
- The event is praised for its excellent organization and course layout, and the cake buffet was very well received by the guests.
