The Rainforest Run Freiburg, taking place on May 5, 2024, in Freiburg im Breisgau, was launched in 2019 to raise awareness about rainforest destruction and to take active measures against it. The 2.6 km running course winds through the Wiehre district and along the edge of the Sternwald, with participants able to choose from four different race distances. The event promotes intergenerational movement and the collection of donations for the protection of rainforest areas.
Highlights
- In total, we have already raised over €35,000 to protect rainforest areas.
- Nearly 900 runners participated on May 23, 2023, for the rainforest and raised a total of over 12,000 euros in donations.
