Race description

The Panorama Run around Burg Are is a scenic cross-country race in the middle Ahr Valley, organized by Selbstläufer Altenahr e.V. and approved by the DLV. It offers a varied challenge with routes over 19 km, 35 km, and 57 km featuring panoramic paths, single trails, and some demanding ascents. The start and finish are at Martinshütte above Altenahr, where catering is also provided. The event takes place annually on the last Saturday in August and invites runners from near and far to enjoy the nature and landscape of the Ahr Valley.

Additional information

Aid stations provide water, tea, cola, fruit, cookies, chocolate, energy bars, bread, and potatoes (3x K19, 5x K35, 7x K57). Reusable cups are provided; participants are encouraged to bring their own to reduce waste. There is no official route security at road crossings; please cross carefully. Time limit for K35 and K57: 10.5 hours. The race is a landscape run with uphill and downhill sections, utilizing hiking trails and single trails, with multiple aid stations. Environmental awareness is promoted through the use of reusable cups. No official route security at traffic roads.
