On August 3, 2024, the Ottonenlauf presents a special highlight on the running calendar, as the route mostly takes place on forest paths through the picturesque Selketal in the Harz mountains. Participants will start from one of three possible locations: Stiege, Alexisbad, or Meisdorf, running past impressive castles, Harz ponds, and rocky cliffs with breathtaking views. The Ottonenlauf offers various distances, including a super marathon, marathon, half marathon, as well as hiking and Nordic walking routes. New to the program is a relay race of approximately 45 km.
