The 12th Osterwald Run took place on May 20, 2024, in Salzhemmendorf/Osterwald and enjoyed great spectator response, with applause celebrating every finish. The event was a complete success, despite the uncertainties of the previous year when the race was canceled due to a competing event. This year, there was a registration stop with a waiting list, as only 200 participants were allowed, and the race was part of the Southern Lower Saxony Cup for the first time. The next edition of the Osterwald Run is scheduled for Whit Monday, June 9, 2025.
Highlights
- The event attracted 236 registrations, of which 205 runners actually took to the start line.
- Silas Bergmann won the 12-kilometer course for the third consecutive time with a lead of almost a minute over the second-place finisher.
- A new course record of 4:20 minutes was set by Can-Luis Greve in the kids' run.
