On July 11/12, 2025, O-SEE Sports e.V. is organizing a top-class Backyard Race around Lake Olbersdorf near Zittau. Here, the who's who of Backyard runners will meet for direct qualification for the German Championship in October 2026. The course is a loop of 6.7056 kilometers with an elevation profile of 40 meters, running on perfect hiking trails. With 230 participants from 10 nations, the O-SEE Backyard Ultra has become one of the largest and most competitive Backyards in Europe.
Highlights
- The record holder is the three-time champion Ritvars Kalnins from Latvia, who completed 49 loops (approximately 328 km) in a total of 49 hours.
- For your entry fee, you get a perfectly organized race – without compromises – on a beautiful course with a magnificent view over the lake to the Zittau Mountains.
- At night, you will be guided by lights, and the course layout is marked by arrows, signs, and barrier tape.
