The cross-country and walking team of LSV Porz invites all athletes and recreational runners to the traditional New Year's run on New Year's Day. The run is approved by the LV Nordrhein and takes place in the recreational area of Leidenhausen. Pre-registration is not necessary, and the course will be completed in a relaxed manner without timing. Depending on desire and fitness, participants can run or walk 5 or 10 km. LSV Porz requests a donation, which will go to the bird of prey protection station and the House of the Forest.
Highlights
- The running group leader, Helmut Urbach, will fire the starting gun at 11 a.m. and present the first certificate of the year 2026 to everyone who crosses the finish line.
- After the New Year's walking and running event, there will be a cozy gathering with pretzels, tea, coffee, and mulled wine.
- The course can be completed at a distance of 5 or 10 km, depending on your desire and fitness level.
