The 38th Mühlenlauf Laar will take place on September 16, 2023, and is organized by SV Grenzland Laarwald in collaboration with the Mühlenverein Laar. The event offers various race distances, including 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km. Pre-registration is possible until September 14, 2023, and late registrations are allowed on the event day up to 30 minutes before each race for a late registration fee. Participants can look forward to ample restrooms and free mineral water.
Highlights
- The participation in the anniversary run, with 182 runners crossing the finish line, was very good compared to previous years - especially in the student races, where numerous participants from the primary schools Laar and Emlichheim were at the start.
- The 2.5-kilometer circuit has been slightly adjusted this year to reduce the course layout on the main road, thereby simplifying and enhancing the safety of the barriers.
- For the first time this year, the 1st Laar Wine Festival will take place in a cozy atmosphere around the mills and the local heritage house.
