The TV Huchem-Stammeln invites you this year to the 21st Monte Sophia Mountain Run and the 64th Heinrich Anton Memorial Run. The Monte Sophia Mountain Run is a challenging trail run over the Monte Sophia, which was formed from the overburden of the Hambach lignite open-pit mining. This wooded region in the Rhineland lignite area between Cologne and Aachen offers a route of 25 kilometers that showcases some of the most beautiful spots of the Sophienhöhe, including the "Roman Tower" and the Golden Aue. The event takes place on August 30, 2025, in Niederzier and also includes shorter distances such as the 10 km Heinrich Anton Memorial Run and children's races.
