On December 7, 2024, the starting gun will fire for the 3rd Mönchguter Brennereilauf in Middelhagen. Wintry weather and high-proof spirits along the route create a particularly lively atmosphere. At the end of each kilometer, runners and walkers must decide whether to sample a selected spirit from the Störtebeker distillery or do 10 squats, as the motto is "Shot or Squat." This is a purely fun event without timing, but every finisher receives a medal in the shape of a whisky barrel. New this year is an after-run party with a DJ, ensuring a festive vibe!
Highlights
- At the end of each kilometer, runners and walkers must decide whether to sample a selected spirit from the Störtebeker distillery or do 10 squats.
- There will be a conscious decision to forgo timing; however, medals in the shape of a whiskey barrel will still be awarded to every finisher.
