On Saturday, July 15, 2023, the 8th Maintal Ultratrail (MTUT) took place, starting and finishing at the sports facility of SV Veitshöchheim. A total of 359 runners participated in the ultratrail distance (64 km), 30 km, and 13 km, with 341 crossing the finish line. As part of the MTUT, the Bavarian Championship was held over 64 and 30 km, attracting top runners once again this year. The course winds through sunny vineyard locations, cool meadow valleys, and dense deciduous forests, with a total elevation gain of over 1700 meters.
