The Kusterdingen Hornets Run is a trail run "by runners for runners" with timing and a family-friendly atmosphere, supported by the municipality of Kusterdingen and the cooperative banks in the Tübingen district. At the 34th Kusterdingen Hornets Run on July 27, 2025, a total of 272 participants took part in five competitions, including student and youth races as well as Nordic walking. Despite a rain shower before the start, nearly ideal running conditions prevailed during the event.
Highlights
- In the student race over 1.8 kilometers, Mathilda Kowac from the Kusterdingen Blaulach Gymnasium was the fastest with a time of 6:46 minutes.
- The main race over 10 kilometers, which was also the final race of the VR Cup, was won by Antoni Thomsich in 35:05 minutes.
- A special prize was awarded to the students from the running course at the Astrid Lindgren School, as they formed the largest pre-registered group.
