We are excited to welcome you to the 50th German Sparkassen Marathon in Chemnitz on May 18, 2025. In addition to the anniversary edition, we are also celebrating the designation as European Capital of Culture 2025. The running course takes you past the Karl Marx Monument, Theaterplatz, around the Schloßteich, and through green parks, allowing you to rediscover Chemnitz while running. Under the motto "Running Culture," the course will become the longest stage in the world, featuring musical highlights from various orchestras, choirs, and DJs.
